Apartment Review for Calais Park Apartment Homes - Saint Petersburg, FL

If you love to party all hours and want a large apartment to share with your gang move here. Do NOT sign that lease if you'd like to relax after a hard day of work. I was impressed by the large apartment. Since the rent is not cheap I thought my neighbors would be hard working professionals. The complex is fairly new and staff claim that the place was built to higher standards than apartments. HA! First the architect was an idiot. The loft apartments have an enclosed stairwell. If you plan to rent the downstairs apartment consider the two bedroom as one. You might as well be in your neighbor's apartment when you're in the room next to the stairs. If you want to live in the loft apartment get ready to hear your neighbor not only complain about the stairwell, but your noise. The walls and floors might as well be paper. Don't be impressed by the nice cars in the parking lot. Many residents can afford them and the rent by cramming five to six people into one apartment to split the rent. Now add the loud village idiot next to you as a neighbor and mix in their rowdy friends who can party until the wee hours of the morning. Along with the party comes the litter. Cigarette butts, beer bottles, and an empty ice cooler have been sitting on the grounds for over a week. I wish I could tell you that I'm the rare tenant that was cursed with the bad neighbor. But, talking to several tenants I've discovered our complex has a collection of village idiots with many roommates. To end on a positive note, maintenance has been courteous.
