Apartment Review for Camden Lakes - Saint Petersburg, FL

Please, if I could caution you, never ever rent here. I am currently living at Camden Lakes and I have had a horrible bug problem since I moved in. Eight months I have been calling the office and telling them about the issue and eight months they have done nothing about it. Our water has been turned off four times since we moved in. There is no notice about when this will happen until after it has already been turned off. The office staff are rude and useless for the most part. Not to mention, I watched one of the staff members back into my car and when the police came she denied the whole thing. The staff are rude and useless and the units are bug infested. The rent may be inexpensive but it is NOT worth it. We looked at the unit before we moved in and it appeared incredibly clean and the woman who showed it to us was so nice and helpful. The week after we signed the contract she acted like we didn't know who we were and we started noticing bugs all around the apartment. If it wouldn't cost me so much I would break my lease and never look back. I am actually considering hiring an attorney to get me out of my lease due to the bug infestation. It might actually be woth the $1000 just to get out of this pest infested apartment. I wish I could sit outside the leasing office and warn people about all the problems. If you are considering Camden Lakes, run and never look back. If I could give this property no stars, I would. I understand the saying "you get what you pay for" but here you should be living for free, or they should be paying you to live here because it is horrible.
